Lyngby Boldklub have presented an expected deficit for the period from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2026. The club expresses satisfaction with the financial result, viewing it as a planned adaptation to lower revenues during last season's spell in the 1. Division.
Friends of Lyngby, behind the statement, say they are "very proud and satisfied with the year's result". They add that it may seem contradictory to be pleased with a deficit, but that it was expected after a year in the 1. Division. The club has deliberately built a financial model to handle the reduced turnover that comes with playing in the country's second tier.
Lyngby are now back in the Superliga and sit 10th with seven points after the first nine matchdays.
