Lyngby Boldklub have extended the contract of Simon Colyn. The new deal ties the Canadian attacker to the club until the summer of 2029.

His original contract was set to expire in 2028, but the club has now secured one of their offensive pieces for the longer term. Colyn, who joined Lyngby on a free transfer from Vancouver Whitecaps in August 2025, has made 38 appearances for the club with eight goals and nine assists. This season he has contributed three goals and an assist in the Superliga, where Lyngby have three points from six games and sit in 11th place.

"I have been really happy with my first year at Lyngby," said Simon Colyn. "We achieved our big goal of promotion last season, and at the same time I feel I have developed a lot since I came to the club."

Sporting director Nicas Kjeldsen praised the player's versatility. "Simon has shown that he can be decisive with the ball and at the same time put in the work we require off it," said Kjeldsen. "He can cover several of the offensive positions, and we still think there is more to come from him."

The extension follows a period where Colyn received a red card in the recent defeat to Silkeborg. The club now looks ahead to their next challenge, a home match against league leaders FC Nordsjaelland on October 18th. View the full schedule on our fixtures page. Colyn's new deal is a clear signal that he is part of the future plans for the team that secured promotion last spring.
