Lyngby Boldklub has published an expected deficit of 2.3 million kroner for the first half of the next financial period. These accounts were presented on Monday and cover a season when the team played in the 1. Division, which typically brings lower revenues than the top flight.

The association Friends of Lyngby, which runs the club, expressed satisfaction with the outcome. "We are very proud and satisfied with the year's result," they said. "It may sound contradictory to be pleased with a deficit of 2.3 million kroner, but it was expected after a year in the 1. Division."

The club points out that it has established a model designed to ensure stability regardless of which league it is in. This financial adaptation is happening while Lyngby Boldklub currently occupies a place in the lower half of the Superliga. Their most recent match ended in a defeat to Silkeborg. The team has, however, won two of its last five games and now faces a difficult match against Brondby.
