Lyngby Boldklub were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Sønderjyske, a late equaliser denying them a second consecutive victory. Simon Colyn put the promoted side ahead after six minutes, but Sønderjyske's French substitute Ismail Seydi secured a point for the visitors with 15 minutes remaining.

The team from Lyngby-Taarbæk started brightly and got the perfect start. Simon Colyn took the chance and pressed the ball, which flew past Sønderjyske goalkeeper Nick Shinton and in for 1-0, the Canadian attacker said afterwards. Lyngby dominated thereafter and came close to doubling their lead when Belgian Renzo Tytens hit the post following a pass from Colyn.

Sønderjyske, who had only one point before the match, held on and eventually found the equaliser. In the 75th minute, Ismail Seydi received the ball from Jacob Christensen and put it in the net behind Renzo Tytens. That meant Sønderjyske got their second point of the season but remain in last place in the Superliga.

The result leaves Lyngby in ninth place in the Superliga with seven points from eight games. The team's recent form is positive as they are now on a five-match unbeaten run, a streak that includes three wins and two draws. Their overall season record, however, shows just one win, four draws and three defeats.

The next challenge awaits already on Wednesday, when Lyngby host Silkeborg at home. Silkeborg sit just below them in tenth place, making the encounter an important one in the lower part of the table.
