Lyngby Boldklub have officially extended the contract of Oskar Buur. The 28-year-old right-back is now tied to the club until the summer of 2028. The extension comes as the team finds itself in a challenging league position, sitting 12th in the Superliga with eight points from eleven games, having won just one, drawn five and lost five.

"It has just become official that Lyngby have extended the agreement with right-back Oskar Buur by a single year," said Søren Frederiksen. Buur has played 11 matches this season and provided three assists. He joined the club on a free transfer at the start of 2025 after being without a contract for six months.

Sporting director Nicas Kjeldsen expressed satisfaction with the deal. "We think he has built really well on his game since he came to the club, and he has shown that he is a player who can make a difference for us," said Kjeldsen.

The team's next task is an away match against FC Midtjylland, who are second in the table, on Saturday 24 October. The last meeting between the sides ended 1-1 in August. Lyngby are coming from a poor run of form with three losses and two draws in their last five matches, but showed attacking threat in their most recent game, a 3-3 draw with FC Nordsjælland on Sunday 18 October. In that match, Simon Colyn, Gustav Leone Fraulo and Frederik Gytkjær scored for Lyngby.

Buur will be an important piece as Lyngby fight to climb away from the bottom of the table and close the 17-point gap to the league leaders. Simon Colyn is the club's top scorer with four goals in ten appearances. The team has scored 15 goals but also conceded 24 this season. They will also be without O. Snorre due to injury. Buur's new deal secures experience at right-back for the coming season.
