Lyngby Boldklub signs FC Barcelona goalkeeper on loan

Lyngby Boldklub has strengthened their goalkeeping position with one of FC Barcelona's young talents. Diego Kochen, the 20-year-old goalkeeper, has been loaned from the Catalan giants and will guard Lyngby Boldklub's goal in the upcoming season. Kochen, who has trained with players like Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski, is looking forward to testing himself in the Danish Superliga.

Who is Diego Kochen?

Diego Kochen has been part of FC Barcelona's youth academy La Masia since he was 14. He has played matches in the Youth League and for Barcelona B, but has yet to make his official first-team debut. In 2023, however, he became the youngest goalkeeper ever to play a first-team match for FC Barcelona when he got minutes in a friendly against Club America.

“I couldn’t have had a better start. It’s a really nice club, and I’ve received a fantastic welcome. Denmark is also a fantastic country-I’ve never been here before, but I really like it. Lyngby is only a quarter of an hour away from Copenhagen, so of course I’ve visited Copenhagen and must say it’s a fantastic city. I’m especially crazy about your pastries. Every time I go out, I always end up buying some pastries and a cup of coffee,” Diego Kochen told Tipsbladet.
