Lyngby Boldklub has appointed Magne Hoseth as new head coach on a contract that runs until summer 2026. Hoseth comes from Faroese club Klaksvik, which he took over in November 2022 and led to the championship title last season. 43-year-old Magne Hoseth has extensive experience as a coach and player, and he has previously been an assistant coach at Norwegian club Kristiansund. Lyngby Boldklub's football director, Nicas Kjeldsen, says that Hoseth is an extremely good match for the club. Hoseth replaces Icelandic Freyr Alexandersson, who Lyngby last week sent to Belgian club KV Kortrijk. Hoseth and the Lyngby squad will start preparations for the spring season on Monday. Magne Hoseth has signed a contract that runs until summer 2026. As a player, Hoseth spent most of his career at his hometown club Molde, which he represented more than 300 times. He also had short spells at several other Norwegian clubs and one season abroad. In the 2004/05 season, he played 28 league games for FC Copenhagen and scored eight goals. For the Norwegian national team, he earned 22 caps. Nicas Kjeldsen believes that Hoseth is a coach with a great future, and that he can take Lyngby Boldklub forward in his own significant progress. Lyngby Boldklub has great confidence that Hoseth can lead the club to success in the upcoming season. Hoseth has already shown that he is a skilled coach, and that he can get the best out of his players. Lyngby Boldklub is looking forward to seeing what the future holds with Hoseth at the helm.
